pain at front near pubic bone

This evening I've just started getting a pain. It's a really specific spot at the front of my pubic bone - just below hair line and slightly to the right. It's kind of like a sharp ache but won't seem to go. I've tried moving walking lying down and sitting in different positions but it's still there. Haven't felt baby as strongly last day either. I'm 20 plus 4. Anyone have any idea what it is? Should i worry? Should I call midwife if it's still here in the morning?

thanks

Could be SPD. Does anything make it worse?

It just seems to have suddenly come on and wont go this evening and I don't think I've done anything strenuous or difficult or anything earlier.

Sounds like pelvic girdle pain. Very common. Check out pelvic partnership website and see your MW/GP for Physio referral ASAP

Ice pack very handy for helping with pain btw! Mine came on suddenly when I got out of bed to go to loo.

Sounds either like pelvic gridle pain or ligament pain. With first I had ligament pain that I got signed of work at around 18 weeks and now with second I had/have pelvic gridle pain but that only started around. 30 weeks

Sounds like SPD (symphysis pubic disfunction as opposed to PGP - which is the more general term encompassing pain in the hips/back as well). I've had it on and off from fairly early on, but no trouble at all with my back or hips.

You need to get a physio referral, try and keep your legs together when getting in and out of bed/car, try a pillow between your knees at night as well.
