Is it a girl???

Hi, Im new to mn and am on preg #3. I have just had 20 wk scan and told it looks like a girl. I am really pleased but am now feeling paranoid in case they're wrong, I know they cant be certain especially with girls. I saw what looked like 3 white lines on the scan and I just wondered if anybody else had spotted anything on their scans?

Sounds like it's a girl. Boys are generaly much more obvious.

When I was preg with DS (now aged 2.5) was told he was definitely a boy. With my 2nd preg was told "we think it's a girl" and i saw the 3 white lines too. DD is now 4 months old! Sounds like a girl to me. Congratulations!

There are plenty of MNers who have been told one thing and got the other. You can only be sure by waiting 20 weeks and looking between your baby's legs. Or having an amnio type test which is a bit OTT

hi - i saw white lines on girl scan - told they were her labia !!!!!!!!!!! and they were right....she told my DH that if it wasn;t for litigation, she would say she was 100 % sure my baby was a girl..but would say 95% to be on the safe side -- i really was hoping for a girl and was amazed they said she was...only truly believed it when i saw her girl bits when she was born - but i bought girl stuff and had nursery painted hot pink and lilac!
