Hello, ok so no one seems to be sure of my due date? Every single scan and the now 3 different sets of notes I have (in my now very thick pregnancy folder) have a different due date ranging from the 31st oct to the 6th November?? What worries me is if they are not sure how old this baby is how can are they following her growth?? We moved to a new area at 20 weeks and have never seen the same midwife or obstetrician twice. Anyone else had their date changed? Should I be worried? I should have asked more questions but I was quite frankly delighted when I was told by the midwife this morning I was 36 weeks rather than 35.

They usually date you from your 12 week scan, so I would stick with that date.

Hi there, with my first the date changed from the 17th June to the 7th June, back to the 10th June and finally the 16th... he was born on the 13th so it was all in the right area.

You've got about a week range at the moment at the moment which I don't think is too much to worry about, anymore might be a concern. When we went for our 12 week scan with this pregnancy they shifted the due date from the 10th Feb to the 5th Feb and the sonographer explained that the 12 week scan due date was generally the most accurate and so that was the one to go with.

I generally one of those is favour of giving expectant parents a 'due two-weeks' as I think that it seems pretty difficult to get it just right and pinning it down to a day seems to cause all kinds of problems.

Really don't think it's anything to worry about, just assume that baby is due anytime from the end of October! Coming soon!

It's not so much the not knowing when I'm going to go into labor. The midwife tells me the baby/bump is on the small side. However, as a week appears to make a big difference on the scale I have in my notes how can they tell? I.e. From my reading on my notes, She is small if she is due on the 31st or big if she is due on the 6th??? I have been having other complications with my thyroid and gave to date (35 weeks or 36 weeks) only put on 1kg and so I was advised that it's important to watch the babies growth closely hence the extra scans, but how useful are they if the due date is different each time? X

What due date did 12week scan give? Talk to hospital and insist they set it as that (that's the only time where they can really accurately date a pregnancy and is the one thats suppost to be stuck too.

Yep. Think your right. Due date says 3rd November and I am sticking to that. I think that means she is ok in terms of growth too.

Thanks all

Lucy
