I found this today- www.emptylemon.co.uk/Employer-Jobs/bounty/bounty-representative-royal-free-hospital-london-nw3/541893

With yesterday's date. Are NHS Hospitals still paying for them to be on the wards?

Very concerned. What does everyone else think??

Not in NHS Tayside.

Yes in Southampton as of 2 weeks ago. I heard them pressuring a young mother buying their crap.i felt so angry about it. They used the standard 'this offer is only available on the bedside (or in hospital)' on the poor woman.

That's awful! I thought people were working to put a stop to their aggressive and insensitive practices!

Oh and my have bit from the job description: "Previous customer service experience and an interest in photography would be beneficial but not essential." So basically they aren't even skilled photographers.

Are the NHS getting money from Bounty??

Still in the East Midlands as of last week, according to various friends. MW was very blasé about it with me, "Oh here comes the lady for your photos". I told her I wasn't interested before she made it through the door.

I'm planning on having a water birth, will they be there or are they just on normal wards?

Heard terrible things about them and I won't be polite if it comes to it

Yes in Yorkshire when I had DD NYE 2013. Bounty woman turned up and I just said no thanks and asked her to leave. She offered to just leave the pack but I refused and asked her to take it with her.

Yes in Colchester this morning or yesterday now, I can't tell with the lack of sleep but just a quick in and out with packs and taking your email etc. They banned the photographer about 2.5 yrs ago.

Everyone goes on the same post natal ward Life
Still in my London hospital last month. Enjoyed overhearing the conversation from the next bed whenthe woman twigged the pictures she'd been bamboozled into would cost.... and how much. She declined!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/10/2014 18:48

The sonographers at my hospital in Surrey were pushing the packs at each scan, and were most surprised when I declined. The hospital serves some very deprived areas and I imagine they make a killing there with the "you won't get your child benefit form if you don't give me your details" line. I'm training DH not to let them anywhere near me - I'm actually scared of them from the stories I've heard of them barging in. I'm pretty meek at the best of times, never mind having just given birth :( anyone know if it's adhered to if you stipulate in your birth plan that you don't want any contact from them?
