I thought I was 7, nearly 8, weeks pregnant and I booked a scan in today and got told I was actually 5 weeks 5 days meaning my faint line I got was at 3 weeks 6 days! Anyway the little bean looked good and everything is ok. All that got picked up I'd that i have a tilted uterus.
Anyone else got this!? Did it cause any problems?!

Here is bean.....

I have a tilted uterus which I was informed about during a cervical smear years and years ago. It's never been mentioned once in my pregnancy.

The only thing that might be relevant is that my bump has always looked and measured very small (below 10th centile). All growth scans have been completely normal though (bang on 50th centile). So I've always wondered if my uterus is just tilted inwards making my bump appear smaller???

Tiltes uterus is like left handedness - not the norm but normal. I have one and so does my sister. It makes no difference. I've never heard anything about bump appearing smaller. Seems unlikely as uterus rights itself when full of baby/placenta and then came sometimes stay like that after the baby or revert to tilted position.

Hi went for an early scan and I thought I was 7 wks and 1 day but the scan showed 6 wks ! The sonographer said dont worry baby may catch up and he did as at my 13.5 day scan I was in front ! So try not to worry . Smile

Hi - Similar happened to me, I went in and had a scan at 8 weeks, and bean measured 8 weeks. Booked 12 week scan around this, and should have been 12+1. Actually turned out I was 13+6!! Its really hard to age at that time...:) Lovely pic xx

Thanks everyone! Just reading that sometimes a tilted uterus can cause pain during sex which makes so much sense lol!

I'm spotting quite a bit this morning but I'm guessing that is down to having quite a rough international exam yesterday as she just couldn't find it cause of my wonky insides ha!!

I think about 15% women have a tilted uterus so not uncommon. One problem that can arise is it's easier for the bladder to get squashed, making it harder to urinate. Sometimes this happens to an extreme level that you will need a catheter, but I think that's pretty rare.

I did read about that, if anything I am peeing way too much at the moment ha! Well I have a midwife appointment on Tuesday so can discuss things with her! Will try and get another scan in a few weeks to see if the baby is progressing well!!
