i had my last period on the 1st of July and positive test in August. I also had sexual relations in the month of june with another guy and the same guy whom i believe is the father(only person i had sexual relations with in July). My question is i could not be pregnant from june and still have had a period and the ultrasound would have shown the baby to be much larger than it is, so the guy whom was all july is certainly the father if this is correct?
Help.

i have had two scans already, im currently week 13 atm, nearing 14. im just wondering if the guy im with from july isnt the father, but logic seems to be pointing in is favour.

i thought that myself, but my dad is a nurse and he was saying about a dna test but surely had my period in july which means i would be like 16 weeks by now.

would it not go by lmp?

So if you are nearly 14 weeks by your scan, you conceived nearly 12 weeks ago... Which would be around the 12th of July. So it would be very unlikely that June bloke was involved. The 12th of July also fits with you ovulating around 2 weeks after the first day of your period. So it's unlikely that it was an implantation bleed or similar.

To be positive, do you know the last date you slept with the man in June?

it was 8th/9th June. near the beginning but a couple of days after i had relations with the july guy anyways.

If it was that early in June, and your 12 week scan is the dates you're going by, then there is no doubt that it was July guy who is the father. The 12 weeks scan may be out by a few days, but there's no way it would be out by a month.

yea well my due date was originally the 7th of april but recent scan says 13 weeks GA. so defo the july guy then?

Yup. If you'd conceived on the 8/9th of June, you'd now be 18 weeks. That's a lot further on than you are. I hope that's the answer you were hoping for.

You can have something called an implantation bleed that is a bit like a light period, some people even carry on having periods, so you can't assume that the period means you weren't pregnant. But the dates are pretty conclusive. An 18 week old baby is a lot bigger and very different to a 13 week old baby.

im just hoping it was conceived in july. But i took pregnancy tests and i had to take a few as i got faint positives at the end of july, so it is defo july then?

If you conceived around the 12 th of July, you'd expect a faint positive at the end of July. If it'd been dark or earlier in the month that's suggest June.

The scan really wouldn't have said you were 13 weeks now if you had conceived in June. They cannot be that wrong :)

thank you puts my mind at ease, it is just me and the guy have been on n off for a while n trying for a baby for a while now but i was also on the pill so just worried.

If you find you're still worrying down the line then a DNA test is always an option. But if all the dates are right then it's got to be July guy!

I am currently 13+5 weeks my last period was 30th of june i think its confusing for me as im not regular, So i think if ur period was 1st of july its defo the july guy :)

Also doctors always date you from the first day of your last period dont forget if your period was begging of July you would of conceived around mid July.
