Need some black leggings/jeggings (not sure what difference is) any recommendations? Ideally decent elastic, no bobbling on first wear nor deterioration of colour after first wash! Oh yes and not Isabella prices.

Boden are the best out of the many I have tried, worth every penny imo.

petitverdot · 02/10/2014 18:06

H&M have been ok for me :)

AdamantEve · 02/10/2014 18:11

I found Topshop very good so good in fact that I still wear them even though DS is nearly two!

PlumFairy2014 · 02/10/2014 18:13

After much searching I got some normal black leggings from new look in a bigger size. I was annoyed at the idea of paying an extra £5 when they were almost identical! They have got me through the summer, no bobbling or stretching and I have worn leggings almost everyday and washed them a million times.
I am quite short though, so that might help in them still covering my bump, even now I'm almost due!

PlumFairy2014 · 02/10/2014 18:14

Except the obvious round the bump stretching...

AnnaBegins · 02/10/2014 18:25

Any one tried the Aldi ones yet? Friend was looking at them the other day but unsure of quality.

Discobugsacha · 02/10/2014 18:27

The normal ones were ok for me- just wear them under the bump with a longer vest top?

Nunyabiz · 02/10/2014 18:30

I bought some from Zara in a large size (am usually a 10) not maternity but they are really strong, not see through, and have elastic at the hips which i found great during and post pregnancy.

urterriblemuriel · 02/10/2014 18:30

I found asos ones really good

Nunyabiz · 02/10/2014 18:31

Oh yea the top shop maternity ones are great too.

rubyboo2 · 02/10/2014 18:31

I bought 2 pairs of under the bump jeggins from Mothercare cost £22 each , black and navy .Ive seen mat leggins there too for £12 so I will be investing in some of those too . They fit lovely and not a bad price Smile

butternut22 · 02/10/2014 18:59

I have the aldi ones. They are really baggy round the crotch and look a bit like jodpurs. I am still wearing them though (low standards). I like h&m ones

stantonjulie · 02/10/2014 19:32

Thx for the tips. Will do some internet shopping this evening!

Topshop through and through. They last for ages as well.

TheScenicRoute · 02/10/2014 20:28

New look. 2 for £14.99.

Love them, never out of them, still look good after 3 months of constant wear.

Thisismyfirsttime · 02/10/2014 21:00

H&M ones in a medium were brilliant for me, I'd usually wear a small from there but I'm still wearing them now! They're just a bit longer in the leg! The £7.99 ones, the £5.99 ones are see through!

AnnaBegins · 04/10/2014 21:13

Thanks for the Aldi feedback, will pass it on!

okeydonkey · 04/10/2014 21:17

Love matalan ones

bayrans · 04/10/2014 21:20

Jojo maman maternity leggings are great for autumn/winter, thick and keep their shape. Around £20.

natharley11 · 05/10/2014 17:07

I love my aldi ones nice and thick so don't feel like flashing my underwear and soo comfy xx

RetroHippy · 05/10/2014 18:13

I've got some Aldi ones. They're a bit big (size 12 and bought a medium) but they don't show my pants and I figure I'll grow into them.

They are very long, and a bit baggy round the crotch as mentioned, but it saved me a trip into town.

H & M medium £7.99 ones were a bit big at first but perfect now (24 weeks). I don't know how much longer they'll last though as I'm finding the elastic at the top is a little tight.

Siennasun · 05/10/2014 19:27

Topshop!
I'm am also still wearing mine and my DS is almost 2 too Smile

PretzelPrincess · 06/10/2014 10:02

New Look! I bought 2 and wore them all the time when pregnant with DS and have still been wearing them after he was born. There over the bump so great once baby's here for breastfeeding, you don't flash any skin and don't have to double up with a vest top. Pregnant with DC2 now and I'm still using them. Amazing.

Pisghetti · 06/10/2014 10:12

I had some from Dorothy Perkins for my first pregnancy. They're sort of legging-y but with a boot cut if that makes sense? They were fantastic right up until birth last time and I was back in them by about 15 weeks so they're good at accommodating a growing bump. However my first pregnancy was 2000/2001 so they're quite old... not even sure DP do maternity clothes now?

Pisghetti · 06/10/2014 10:13

I mean back in them by 15 weeks of my current pregnancy**
