Hi Folks

I have a transverse lie baby at 36 + 4 weeks. I also have anterior placenta. This is dc2

I have been told i have to have it moved by 37+3 weeks. I will be admitted next week if it hasnt shifted and moved off homebirth pathway into hospital care with c section. Gutted.

I have been spinnng babies, acupuncture, reflexology, chiropractor etc.

Alot of the advice says that if it moves into the right position - stop what you are doing in cae you shift it back out again.

My problem/ I cant actually tell if it has moved. I cant tell its position or where it is lying so could well have moved.

where can i go to get this checked?? Is there someone private who would d this as mat assessment have said that they dont offer this and i have to wait for next antenatal appt next week

You could pay for a private scan, but they are expensive. I'm in the same boat atm. But only 34 weeks, so have a bit of time.

Where abouts are you feeling movement?

movements have only been subtle with the anterior placenta so hard to pick up.

what i am feeling at the moment is movement in lower "semi circle" of tummy

Bumping for the evening crowd, hopefully some more ladies around with some knowledge.

In my area we have a local midwife "shop" where you can drop in to discuss any issues...may be worth seeing if there's anything similar in your area?

Fingers crossed your baby moves/ has moved so you can have your home birth as planned!

Ta folks. I am gonna pay to have private scan this weekend. Sadly no midwife shop kinda facility.

I'm in a similar position with a baby which just alternates from breech to transverse and back again. I'm 36+5 and like you have no idea where she is half the time. I feel kicks/punches everywhere!! Im seeing the midwife today who will hopefully work it out or send me for a positioning scan.

You shouldn't have to pay for one if the baby is transverse!!

waves at WeeOnion it might be pertinent that you're in Ireland.

Morning all. Amy - I'm a Celtic wanderer - Irish but living in Scotland!!
Bellyrub - I want a scan to work out position so see if moved / still stuck as I only have until next week until possible admission and on section list..
Fingers crossed your bump also moves and stays put!!
