Car accident 12 weeks

I was in a car accident last night,I am not hurt but it was a bit of a jolt and so the seatbelt pulled across where I think baby is currently.I'm already showing as am on number 3,so I'm pretty sure baby isn't still behind the pubic bone, yet bump isn't big enough to follow the under bump advice yet.
Police called an ambulance as was pregnant who checked out blood pressure etc and asked if I wanted to go up to the hospital. It was v late and I was still v shaken up and just wanted to go home,so I didn't.
My question is I am due to have another scan on Friday to check on something completely unrelated, should I just wait until then or should I ask to be checked out now?
Mainly I was just shaken, the other car pulled off the side of the road very quickly into my path,I couldn't get stopped in time and ran into him and then he just sped off leaving me extremely shaken up but I don't think hurt.

You poor thing. I had a car accident at around 16 weeks, first pg. No police, no ambulance, no Dr visit. I was mentally a lot more fragile than I would have been (the bloke who hit me actually hugged me as I was so upset!) but physically ok. If you feel fine then I would wait till your usual scan. However if it will make you worry, then see someone today.

I was also in a minor accident in my last pregnancy around the same stage. Was in a friends car and someone but us straight in the back not to hard but a big jolt, I to was quite emotional you just feel so proactive when your pregnant and I was thinking what if it is worse etc. I'm sure everything is ok, but if your concerned at all just call the midwife and out your mind at rest. Hope your ok now x

I'd give your midwife a call today for reassurance- she'll know about baby's rough positioning and will be able to ask relevant questions to assess whether you need to be seen earlier than Friday.

I'm sure everything is ok though and I hope you're feeling a bit less shaken up now!

I had a horrible woman go into the back of me yesterday, she was really mean! It was clearly her fault as I was stationary!
No bad damage, me and DS fine, but just shaken up, worse than I would be if not pregnant. I panicked because I didn't feel the baby move for quite a while after, so phoned the assessment unit and went in to be checked. I am 26 weeks though so they can do a trace etc. I am glad I got checked as would have worried all night.
I would call your midwife for reassurance x

Saw GP who was able to find a heartbeat and happy enough for me to wait until Friday.
Put my mind at rest and not do anxious now, everything is so much more of a worry when pregnant!

Scatterboy do you know your rhesus status. If you are rhesus negative you would need an anti d injection after being involved in a crash. If your rhesus positive you will not.

Sorry don't wish to worry you but it would need to happen within 72 hours.
