Am 5 months pregnant and have never been a good sleeper but am now having huge problems - can't seem to find any position that is comfortable. I know am supposed to be on side but bump feels very heavy and uncomfortable and so keep tossing and turning. Am knackered!!! Any suggestions???

Me too! I keep on waking up on my back and feeling guilty, because I've read that sleeping on your left is best for the baby. So far I've found that a small towel under my bump and a pillow between my knees helps a bit, but I'm still not that comfortable.

Hi FaithL. I had this problem too and found that pillows etc didnt help. But in Mothercare they sell a horseshoe shaped pillow for £20 and it is really good i have it between my legs to raise my hips straight and then under my bump sp it doesnt just hang (iyswim) hope this helps you.
Also i ouldnt feel guilty about waking up on your back cos everyone on a thread i read has said being comfy and getting sleep is more important, but i am now 34 weeks pg and i cant lie on my back even if i wanted too!

have been trying to use a regular pillow to support bump but has been uncomfortable to maybe the horseshoe shaped one will be better - just desperate to sleep......

I have a long squishy pillow that can start off between your legs and have the other end under your head and it moulds round Bump perfectly (my lovely mummy got it for me from Blooming Marvelous) Also perfect on your side with pillow but tipped back slightly against dp, but only with cooperation! Before the pillow though I used 2 normal ones, one between legs and the other lengthways down the bed with my head and upper body on so the bump fell in the gap between the 2 and didn't have pressure on it. Just play with as many pillows as you can muster until you find a comfy position!
