Hi I'm looking into prams at the minute and need some advice. Has anyone got or had a Zoom from Mamas & Papas? Just looking to know how good it is as it seems so cheap for what you get!

Thanks :) x

I just typed up a message and lost it :(

i have got it haven't used it yet as not due till feb but i love it. I bought it based on reviews not price and since found out 3 friends also have it and love it. It was easy to use without needing the instructions and folds down small. Here are some pics (excuse the teddy!!)

Thanks Woodwaj :) Looks very nice and Ted looks comfy :) I found it hard to find any detailed views on the Zoom online. Think we will book an appointment with M&P to test it out x

We have one and we're still really really happy with it. Very easy and light to push and steer with one hand, very small turning circle. Good build quality, robust and nice and smooth over bumpy pavements. In terms of ease of use, it's ok. Don't have much experience of using other prams. It's not as easy to put up and down as our lightweight buggy but i suspect that's pretty normal as a comparison. One thing to look out for - some reviews mention that it's a little wide. We've never had a problem with it, but we used to have to take one wheel off to get it into our Fiesta boot. Not as much as a hassle as it sounds - the wheels are designed to come off easily for that reason - but it still adds to the faff factor, especially if the wheels are muddy. So i'd definitely recommend it but go and try one and ask to try putting it in your boot.

It also comes with the rain cover and the cot car seat and stroller seat can all face towards you or away from you (if i remember rightly) how old is your baby shelduck?

Thanks Shelduck, that's really helpful. I have a Fiesta too and the thought of taking wheels off puts me off slightly! Although maybe not enough to pay an extra £300 / £400 for an alternative travel system!!

I have it, and used it for the last 7 months. It's brilliant, can't recommend it enough. Got the Aton car seat as well. Make sure you get the adaptors that fit the car seat to the base. Expensive for what they are, but the rest of the pram is a bargain and they're worth it.

Pretty sure the adaptors came with mine so no need to buy separately. Also the aton isofix base is cheaper EVERYWHERE else!

Yep, I have this, DD is now nearly 3 and we still use it. It has been great, like the others have said it has a small turning circle and is easy to manoeuvre one handed. We got everything with it too, the bassinet, the pram seat and car seat with adapters. The car seat is excellent I think, the rain cover fits well and the extra seat cover with cosy toes is nice and snug. There are some pretty funky designs of seat covers too, with matching sun umbrellas! The basket underneath is big enough for a change bag/hand bag and a few other bits and bobs you will collect along the way! I liked the fact you could choose which way everything faced, so you could keep an eye on baby, or point a screaming toddler away from you! The handlebar is adjustable too (which DD now loves playing with).
Cons I would say it does seem to be ever so slightly wide for some door frames, you can fit through but it does scrape the door frame a bit. It can feel a bit cumbersome collapsing it down, especially when you are just recovering from birth! And having to remove the pram seat and a wheel or two if you have a small boot can be a bit of a nuisance, although the wheels do come off easily enough. I have a clio and it doesn't fit in the boot unless you take the wheels off, but does fit comfortably in bigger cars. If I was being really pedantic, the seat cover for the pram seat does tend to slide around a bit, it fits on over the straps that are attached to the pram seat itself so you sort of have to pull the straps up everytime before putting baby in which slides the seat cover up a bit so that you can fit the two clips together to strap baby in, I hope that makes some sense, it's not really much of an issue and might just be because I bought a cover for the Luna rather than the Zoom!
All in all I am very happy with our pram purchase, we looked at all sorts of travel systems and just thought for the price, and Mamas and Papas good reputation we couldn't go wrong with it really. We never bothered buying another smaller pram for DD as she got older as we are still happy to use it now. Good luck OP!

Yes, and it comes with a carrycot too, which we used as a travel moses basket and it was really good.

woodwaj My little baby is now 2 years 3 months! We had been using a lightweight buggy but it's really rickety and has finally broken. So I got the Zoom out again at the weekend and remembered how much I liked it, and DS was perfectly happy in it. I'm now expecting DC2 and have no qualms using the Zoom again.

(We used the Aton car seat with a belted base, and we were very happy with that too.)
