Hi all, Just wondered what are people's views on vitamins during pregnancy. I eat quite abit of fruit but not a great deal of veg, I am suffering from a virus (cold, etc..) at the moment. Do you think its worthwhile getting a multi vitamin?

Im 11wks at the minute, not really any other probs, just tired and not eating much, well no appetite really.
Cheers x

Are you taking folic acid?

Pregnacare tablets are good. They have everything you need, but if you're eating properly, you probably won't need them..

You should be taking some sort of pre-natal vitamin which should cover all your supplementary needs - at the very least, folic acid which is very important.

As long as "on the whole" you are eating a well-rounded diet, this loss of appetite due to a cold should not have any effect - I would suggest you try to tuck into some veggies, though - your baby will thank you for the effort.

I am taking folic acid. Have been since the beginning. I will try to eat some veggies. Cheers
