Hi there Smile
I wonder if anyone esle has had similar problems...
So me and my partner have been trying for a few months, this month I had a light period but a few days in felt very sick so did a test. Came back positive we were over the moon. The conception indicator said 1 to 2 so 3 to 4 weeks preg. I know when I ovulated though so at that point I was nearly 5. So I waited a few days and did one again, today actually and its still coming up 1 to 2 weeks. Im getting myself worried now that the hgc levels arnt rising as they should!! As i no im 5 amd abit now. And because of that early light bleed I had. Which stopped 2 days ago I am even more on edge. Any advice or others experiences would be massivly appreciated xx

My experience goes both ways. One time it was OK, another time it wasn't. I think all you can do is wait and see. Since you have had a bleed, ask your doctor or midwife if you can have a viability scan, or get a private early scan. Fingers crossed for you.

Firstly just cos I'm not crystal clear from your post - they count weeks since actual conception, not the weeks pregnant as midwives / Dr would count them, so at two weeks since sperm met egg the indicator SHOULD say 1-2 weeks, but you are technically 4 weeks pregnant.

But secondly - please don't worry, they just aren't that reliable - they go on the levels of HCG but the levels can vary hugely between women on any one day, so you may not reach the 'cutoff' to trigger the next stage on the indicator until much later than the supposed "correct" day, just because of natural variation. The important thing is whether they are doubling and these tests can't tell you that. I used these after we got a BFP and it didn't go to 3-4 weeks for longer than expected and I got really stressed and upset. But everything was fine. After I read up how they worked I threw away the remaining one in the pack I had left...

Hi thanks ladies!
Because I had that 3 days of a very light bleed and then spotting (around time of period) I have just got my self panicked! Its stopped now and 3 days later im still showing pregnant, but I then as I say got worried the indicator wasnt going up as I expected it to! Hopfully all will be ok. Docter is sending me for early scan on mon/tue. So not long too wait!
