I am folic acid deficient and had not been taking my meds for a few months when my coil fell out and I got accidentally pg. is my lack of folic acid likely to cause a problem?

I think this is a 'go and see your GP' one. I'd try and go asap, as the neural tube develops very early on. Have you started taking folic acid now? How pregnant are you? Am sure you are aware of the risks of spina bifida and neural tube defects, but until you get scanned they are just numbers. for this nerve-wracking time for you.

Definitely speak to gp they may want to give you a higher strength of folic acid.
