Trying not to worry!

Currently at Chessington and was bring so careful with rides. Didn't think to check bubbleworks as I've been on it!

Came off ride and noticed the sign advising me not to go on it Sad

Spoken to midwife and she thinks it will be fine but looking for reassurance from other ppl who might have been on similar rides during pregnancy!

Am 23 wks pregnant btw.

What is it? Just a fairground type ride? You'll be fine.Smile

There's a single really small jolt as you go over the hump isn't there? That's probably why they put that sign on just to be hyper-cautious but honestly pregnant women fall over and get bumped more than that all the time (I fell down a whole flight of stairs onto my arse at 26 weeks with no ill effects although I wouldn't recommend it).

Rosedust · 21/09/2014 12:09

Thanks for the reassurance! Yep its pretty gentle apart from a bit of a jolt over the hump and I braced myself for that as I realised it was coming!

It's basically a dinghy thing that bobs around a water track - nothing pushing on my bump or anything!

If it helps I only discovered as was pg AFTER I'd been on all the roller coasters in Disneyworld Grin

Rosedust · 21/09/2014 12:15

Smile Thanks hotpinkweasel! My logical self is sure it was fine - just battling with my slightly neurotic side Grin.

We're flying in a few weeks and that journey is likely to be more bumpy than the ride!

You will be fine.

In the vanishingly unlikely event it would case a problem, it would almost certainly be because a heavily pregnant woman had bashed her bump in some major way (fallen off the seat on the hump, etc). So they put a sign up to protect themselves.

Smile thanks penguin!

You will be absolutely grand. think of it like going over a speed bump.

Sure you get more of a shock from doing a huge fart in the bath than bubble works its one of the tamest rides there :)

Rosedust · 21/09/2014 16:33

Thanks dazed and eastmids! Back home now and feeling much less neurotic! Smile

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 21/09/2014 19:26

No worries rose I panicked after going on the fastest ride 8weeks post c section it was only as it jolted I thought ouch that hurt I only went on 3 rides all the big fast one's as had baby with us n was bf but yeah prob not best idea I have ever had!!

Rosedust · 21/09/2014 19:27

Thanks LBN Smile - been feeling him kick as normal this evening so that's nice!

Not being seen by midwife until 28 weeks now (last appointment was at 21 weeks) so just a bit more highly strung about everything! Monitoring his movements helps though!
