I am pregnant, but only a test tells me that! (A very strong BFP before I'd finished dipping)

But... I don't have periods, I was on Cerazette since DS3's birth nearly 2 years ago.

I have had a rather stressful time of late so haven't been paying attention to symptoms of any kind. I've had heartburn like mad and had a week of sore boobs and mol nausea but I don't remember how long ago.

This has worried me, with my other 3 pregnancies I have been on the bathroom floor from the word go with acute sickness.

The community midwife can't see me until the end of October until I've had a dating scan.
The hospital "lost" my urgent referral from my GP so she's had to redo it but they've said to expect an appointment for the scan in about 3 weeks! Confused

I'm a very high risk pregnancy and luckily the lovely GP was able to sort out some Fragmin injections.

I have managed to convince myself that something is wrong Blush (I suffer with anxiety since DS3 was born.)

So I have gone and booked an early reassurance scan tomorrow afternoon with the people that did my 4 scan in my other pregnancies.

God I hope I'm wrong but this pregnancy has been almost silent so far which couldn't be further from the experience I had with my 3 boys.

So I'm going to stress and pace for the night, I figured some lovely people might be able to keep me sane. Smile

My fourth pregnancy was very different from my other 3. Only believed i was pregnant when i had 14 week scan.
Good luck

GaryShitpeas · 19/09/2014 21:20

Aww Good luck op x

I was in similar position almost exactly this time last year, had miscarried twins at 12 weeks in April '13 and couldn't believe it when got bfp in early sept. Despite my mc my drs wouldn't refer me for an early scan so we paid for one at 8 weeks, saw little bean and strong Hb

She is now a gorgeous chubby cheeky 5 month old and the apple of my eye Smile

You'll be fine Thanks

Titsalinabumsquash · 19/09/2014 21:48

Thanks Smile

I hope my anxiety will ease once I see a screen with a baby of any gestation. I keep having stupid thoughts of going and finding I'm not pregnant at all Blush

If you're meant to be on clexane/fragmin you should not be waiting for the MW appointment to get them: quite right the GP should prescribe them in the meantime. Mine got my 1st prescription on the day of my BFP! Make sure s/he keeps you stocked up.

Symptoms vary wildly from pregnancy to pregnancy - my mum tells me she had a silent pregnancy with twins and a more symptom-y one with her singleton: the reverse of what you'd expect. :)

No bleeding = most likely all is fine. (And I had a bleed this one, and everything was still OK, it was just the clexane).

I do have a good stock of Fragmin now, the GP sorted it really quickly, I can't get my maternity exemption though without a EDD so I'm having to pay until then which is a bit of a bugger but not the end of the world.

No bleeding (I've become a knicker checker Blush) although I do have really bad lower back ache, I have Elthers Danlos syndrome though so that's not uncommon.

You can tick the exemption cert and note "in the post" at most chemists. :)

I'm now 20 weeks and has NO symptoms what so ever until about week 8 when MS kicked in. Nothing the books and websites kept telling me I was supposed to be feeling. We had a scan at 6 weeks as it was an IVF pregnancy and saw little heart beating away and I burst into tears. I felt calmed for about a week and then got back to worrying. So much so we had an early reassurance scan at 9 weeks and all was fine!

Thanks let us know how it goes Smile

BiggerYellowTaxi · 20/09/2014 09:18

Good luck Titsalina! I hope all is well. Can I just ask, did you get pregnant while on Cerazette? I'm on it and love that I have no periods but feel that I should probably periodically POAS to check.

Titsalinabumsquash · 20/09/2014 09:30

Yes I did, I didn't miss one single pill either, my sister who is 20 weeks had exactly the same thing.

I can see me collapsing in a heap of snot a tears either way tbh. Grin
