I am 14 weeks and am sure I can feel it moving. All the books say not before 16 weeks for 2nd and subsequent pregnancies. Am I going mad?

Ds1 it was 19 weeks
Ds2 and ds3, probably about 16-17 weeks

FoghornLeghorn · 25/09/2006 13:28

It was about 20 weeks with DD but this time was about 19 i think, took longer this time for me to feel more regular movements.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 25/09/2006 13:29

I started to feel movements after my 20 wk scan.

Piffle · 25/09/2006 13:29

When I lay on my tummy sometimes I swear I can feel movements...
I'm 14 wks too

KathyMCMLXXII · 25/09/2006 13:33

With this pregnancy (my second), before my 12 week scan.

ds about 20 weeks
dd about 17 weeks

Kelly1978 · 25/09/2006 13:37

about 19-20 weeks with the singles, at about then with the dts. Twins are usually felt earlier.

gingernut · 25/09/2006 13:38

Was about 12 weeks with my second (much earlier than with first).

lulumama · 25/09/2006 13:45

16 weeks for first, 14 weeks for second and it was a definite big kick, not a fluttery feeling !

Twopinkoneblue · 25/09/2006 13:47

I'm sure I felt dd2 move at 12 weeks. It felt like tiny flutters really low down. It was a one off occasion. I thought, "it can't be" as it seemed too early. Felt her move for sure at around 17-20 weeks as with dd1 and ds3.

elliedragon · 25/09/2006 13:47

Thanks all, it sounds as if I am right in thinking there is movement going on.

Every day since 12 weeks (first baby)

CurrantBun · 25/09/2006 14:08

Oooh, think I might have been feeling movement too then! Am 18 weeks and for the past couple of weeks have been feeling some "fluttering" sensations quite low in my belly - almost feels like bubbles bursting if that doesn't sound too odd?

Thought it was wind as all the books say it's too early to detect movement, but also have never had that sensation when I've had wind before, so secretly hoped it was bubs doing somersaults!

Highlander · 25/09/2006 14:19

17 weeks both times

bobblehead · 25/09/2006 17:43

bubbles bursting was exactly how I felt it in my first currentbun

I am 12 weeks and was sure I felt movement the other day. Nice to know I'm not going mad

ProfYaffle · 25/09/2006 17:59

I felt the fluttery movements around 12/13 weeksish, been getting definite kicks since 15 weeks.

Nemo1977 · 25/09/2006 18:08

With Ds I felt him move at 19/20wks
DD 14wks
DB 18wks

nips · 26/09/2006 16:45

19 weeks with my first, 14 weeks with my second (but sadly lost his baby at 22 weeks) im pregnant again now 13 and a half weeks and cant wait to feel it - hoping for 14 weeks again!

julezboo · 26/09/2006 17:07

around 19 weeks with ds

around 17 weeks with this one, more deffinate kicks now Im 19 weeks though!

lalibela · 26/09/2006 17:28

Has everyone always felt the movements really low down in their tummy? I've been feeling something at about rib level (vaguely like palpitations) and hoping it was the baby, but maybe that's just wishful thinking as it's so high up. I'm currently about 18 and a half weeks and this is my first pregnancy to reach the second trimester.

hulababy · 26/09/2006 17:32

I started to feel DD move at the end of October - was on holiday. So would have been about 18 weeks (just used one of those pregnancy calculators to find out!)
