Maybe pregnant

New to this, but here it goes.
I had my period on Aug 22-25 I had protected sex with my bf on my fertile days but the condom possibly broke. But now I'm supposed to get my period this Friday or Saturday and lately I've been noticing like a dull ache in my lower back & my breasts hurt and are heavy and semi swollen..could I be pregnant? & when should I test for pregnancy?? Hoping that I'm pregnant!!

if you ovulated around the 5th - 14 days after start of last period if you have a regular 28 day cycle, you could probably test with one of the early predictor brands now. I think they're supposed to give you a reading 4 days before period due.

I had my lmp on 20 August and tested positive yesterday. I have a slightly shorter cycle but I'd get one if the early predictor tests and do one today.

when are you due your period? if it's within the next few days you could take a test. each day you get closer to your period date the higher your pregnancy hormones are and more accurate the test. I took a test a few weeks ago and it was negative, took one last week and it was positive.
Check the test packaging as it will give you a guideline as to how accurate it is and how early you can take the test.
