due date confusion

My scan showed me to be 14 weeks pregnant although I only had sex 12 weeks ago.. (sorry for tmi) how could this be? Very worried and starting to now doubt my childs dna! Please help

Your pregnancy begins officially on the first day of your cycle, therefore the first two weeks of pregnancy, you are not pregnant.

Hi tia. I think that makes sense because they count from the first day of your last period which means they counted from the previous period. Many people ovulate around day 14 which would give you your extra two weeks. I hope that makes sense.

What peace said it's dated from your last period , not when you had sex.
