Hi everyone,

I'm 4-5 weeks pregnant at the mo and for the last 4 days I have had a major spot break out around my chin area- I can constantly feel them throbbing and there's so many spots. Along with that my hair is so greasy, after washing yesterday I could see it was greasy as I was blow drying it ! Are these horrible changes due to pregnancy ??? Has anyone noticed bad skin and greasy hair ???

Thanks for reading my moan xx

Yes I've had spots, not loads but more in the last 6 weeks than I have since I was 16 (now 34).

My hair had been more difficult to manage, needs washing more often and is growing really fast.

Can't wait to start glowing as I look and feel like garbage just now!

I'm 13 weeks and absolutely covered in spots all over my face & chest , I feel like a blinking teenager again

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one! I feel so self conscious too and because I'm still soo early I can't even use it as an excuse as we aren't telling anyone just yet. I normally use crushed up dispersive aspirin mixed with water as a spot mask and it works a treat but I'm not sure that's safe in pregnancy. Oh bring on the pregnancy glow.

On the plus side my nails are growing fast and strong xx

I'm the opposite! Keep getting dry patches on my cheeks that, as my foundation wears off during the day, I'm left with orange flaky patches that it's clung to! No amount of exfoliating and moisturising is helping! Feeling sexy...

My chin is spotty and greasy and my cheeks and forehead and dry and flaky. I've also got broken blood vessels (small purple dots) around my eyes from vomiting forcefully. I'm 12 weeks.
I've just started using a tea tree oil face wash and moisturiser (cheap one from Superdrug) which seems to be clearing up both the greasy and dry bits, so you could give that a go?

LBNM19 · 14/09/2014 22:28

I was spotty in 1st trimester it's horrible, I'm 34 weeks now skin clear but hair still pretty greasy xx

Loveallmyboys · 15/09/2014 06:23

Feel your pain. I had terrible spots when I was pregnant with DD1 until about 17 weeks, then it cleared up and my skin was beautiful. With this pregnancy i've had a few spots but not as bad as before. I recommend products with AHAs (e.g. glycolic acid) which are safe to use in pregnancy.
