I'm 17 weeks pregnant and have been suffering with horrendous nausea all the way through, which is not showing any signs of going. I am rarely sick just extremely nauseous but only able to eat a slice of toast in the morning and a meal after about 6. I have been trying to keep fluids up but this is hit and miss. Both my DC's have picked up a vomiting bug from school and this morning it became obvious that I had picked it up too.

I have been able to keep nothing down, even water all day. I'm wondering if I should contact the admissions unit at maternity for advice or whether I should leave it a bit longer. I'm really scared of harming the baby.

I had a horrendous sickness bug for 24 hrs when I was 30 weeks pregnant. I called triage who advised me to stay at home and take sips of water that had been in the freezer every 15 mins apparently your body tolerates it better it did work for me also sucking on ice lollies/ ice pops helped.
It was truly awful but they didn't want me to go in they said if I was no better the next day to call them back. I didn't eat anything for three days but the next day was keeping fluids down which is the most important thing.

I would maybe give them a call if you're worried or maybe see how you are in the morning if feel comfortable doing this :)

On second thoughts I would ring just to be on the safe side :)
