Am getting horrible backache today and started getting some tightenings. Haven't had noticeable BH at all during pregnancy so I am really hoping that I am heading in the right direction.

39+1 today and had a sweep yesterday due to it looking like a whopper of a baby. Was 1cm and partially effaced at the sweep.

Please send me sprinklings of labour dust!!!

Hi mistyautumn.
Aw I really hope this is your time, I completely appreciate your frustration and wanting your beautiful little one here, especially if it's going to be a whopper. I'm currently 40+5 with no signs. Backache and tightenings are horrid but exciting as well. Sending you lots of lovely dust, keep us informed of your progress xx

Well I am still getting contractions and have been all night. Trying to ride it out at home as long as possible. Also had a bloody show.

Think this may actually be happening. Trying to get DH to get some rest!

Good Luck!

LBNM19 · 12/09/2014 08:09

Aww I hope it is. Good luck Smile

Mistyautumn · 12/09/2014 13:15

Well it is still going. Think it is going to be a long one but looks like it is all heading in the right direction x

Best of luck. Really hope this is it for you.

Sorry to put a downer on your thread and I REALLY hope it isn't the case for you but I had exactly the same for a few days, a few days ago. Yet I'm still here at 39+5 and all symptoms disappeared, I could cry.

Keep us posted Flowers

squizita · 12/09/2014 20:18

Good luck!

Today is my due date. Had a day like Foodiemum Last week ... hoping next time it's no false alarm! On pineapple juice, walking, birth ball etc now.

FoodieMum3 · 12/09/2014 20:29

Any signs at all squizita?

Tmi (although I don't think there's any such thing as that here lol) but I have alot of bum pressure and lower back pain today. BH that I had last week has mostly eased off.
I had a check up yesterday and refused a sweep, not sure if I made the right decision or not. I have two DC and they were both born by now so I'm very surprised to still be here.

It must be so tough, physically and psychologically to go over your due date X

squizita · 12/09/2014 21:18

Just bum pressure and aches. They said most 1st timers pop between 40-41 weeks ... so we will see! :)

ohthegoats · 12/09/2014 21:30

Squizita, I've been following your pregnancy all along - 2 weeks ahead of me, you're my early warning poster! Hope you don't have to wait too long, I'm sort of hoping for popping end of next week. Hmm...

Grin I will keep you ladies updated! Currently did a walk up the local hill nothing to do with there being a cake shop up the top but nowt yet. Spicy chicken wings at a local "Diner" type thing tonight. Would try sex but DH is a sturdy chap and it might be like bouncing 2 ping pong balls together! Grin

ohthegoats · 13/09/2014 17:42

If it's any use, after sex last weekend (not that we've particularly stopped shagging, just last weekend seemed to be different), I had a couple of hours of strong period pain and Braxton Hicks - I had to take a paracetamol and hope it went away. Minor panicking going on at 3am.

I've been a bit scared to do it since just in case it kicks things off for real - I need to get to next Thursday (which will be 38+5) - after which it'll be shagging all the way, since it at least seems to kick something off for me. I've got an important meeting on Thursday afternoon, after which I'm on eviction duties. Have booked reflexology for Friday!

squizita · 13/09/2014 20:05

I am considering reflexology. My yoga teacher swears by it (she's not woo, she just knows one with a really high success within 48 hr rate!).

ohthegoats · 13/09/2014 20:59

My SIL reckoned it worked for her within 24 hours with both of her kids.

squizita · 14/09/2014 09:08

Good. I'm getting bored now. I dreamed my waters broke. .. woke up dry as a bone! Grin If I haven't started contracting by my yoga class ill be booking that reflexology!

Pregnantagain7 · 14/09/2014 09:14

I'm another bit of squizita stalker Grin and another rmc er will be very strange not having you on pregnancy boards (though I'm sure you will still be around)

I'm going to have acupuncture if this little one is not making a move by due date as I hate anyone touching mt feet!

squizita · 14/09/2014 11:13

Grin Feeling the pressure now I'm in the spotlight! Knowing bean she's in there waiting for a choice moment to pop her waters. She's got a taste for Internet fame and wants to go viral "waters break in front of aghast shoppers" style. Grin What a little diva!
