Any pregnant knitters? Can we share pattern ideas?

I'm planning to knit at least a cardi or two for my forthcoming blob, if we make it past 12 week scan. Are any mums to be on here Ravelry fans like me, and have ideas about great, cute, hardwearing patterns?

I'm doing this in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino soon - as its supposed to be a genius knit! www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-surprise-jacket Just in a plain ivory colour for first time around.

Find me on Ravelry if you're on there - I'm ninaowl www.ravelry.com/people/ninaowl

Ooh yes me me!! I am over the moon about having a baby anyway but having it in November is extra good because I can knit loads of woollies for it!

I use ravelry too but haven't really got into it apart from as a pattern source, my link is here
if you want to see a couple of photos.

I've knitted Baby and Child Sophisticate twice now (the only photos in my ravelry account!) and it's a lovely pattern. I've got Newborn Vertebrae on the needles currently in a bright red microfibre yarn from hobbycraft - nearly finished that now.

Something I've done for friends' babies born in autumn/winter is to make a hat and mitten set in newborn size - this pattern for the hat and for the mittens although I tweaked the mittens in order to knit them in the round. Already our baby has a couple of the hats waiting for it, they are just so quick to knit and easy to carry around, and the pattern is easy to adapt to make larger as they grow.

I've knitted a pram / carseat blanket out of cheapo acrylic DK which I figure can be easily washed when it gets dropped in the mud :-D I've bought some baby cashmerino to crochet a blanket that's a bit more special for the crib / cot but haven't started that yet, I'm thinking of doing a mixed stripe type pattern.

Maybe pop over to the arts and crafts board, I asked a question about what people made for babies a few months ago and got some good ideas for knitting, crochet and sewing too. Enjoy the knitting and good luck for the 12 week scan. I knitted one hat before then, I just couldn't wait any longer!

Hello! I've made two of Marianna's Lazy Daisy Days top down baby cardigan so far, which is really simple and suits boys and girls. It has long and short sleeved versions, but unfortunately no instructions for upsizing.
I'm knitting a teddy bear at the moment but need to get on the case with more cardigans in bigger sizes.

Am JackieP26 on Ravelry.

I've put plenty of idea's to one side of Rav - but knitting is mostly having to wait until I start Maternity Leave (2 and a half weeks to go!).

I did get a book of baby and toddler patterns, and have been using my Knitting Goddess mini skeins to knit small socks. I have a lovely blanket on the needles (was going to be a gift, didn't get finished...), and plans to use up my acrylic on yet more blankets. I also bought some discount Araucania and buttons from Woolfest which are waiting to be turned into cardigans (two for bump - one for me). I suspect some of my mini skeins will become mittens and stripy (maybe intarsia) hats as well.
