So this just started yesterday tea time and by the time I went to bed in agony around my ribs on right side and could feel the discomfort when breathing. Im.27 weeks so guessing its due to things being pushed up and possibly trapped nerves? Pain is worse lying down...not the best sleep iv had. Anyone know of this? Confused

Not heard of it being pregnancy related, but of course it could be.

Does it hurt more when you move your arm out to the side/up in the air/across your chest etc? Could be a normal/non-pregnancy related trapped nerve or muscle spasm around your intercostals (those are the muscles that surround your ribs).

Which, in turn, could be due to baby shifting about and making more room :)

Ive been getting this on and off for weeks now. Im 28 week. I work in retail so gets really bad by the end of the day. Putting stock out and serving on the tills makes it worse especially on the right side. Kind of like burning but sometimes sharp pains, just for fun. I put it down to my ribs getting pushed out by the baby last time i measured i gain 3 inch round my ribs. I find a hot water bottle and a couple of paracetamol before bed helps me sleep. Hope that helps

I get this, it's a bit grim. There are some yoga poses which help - cat / cow and child's pose are good for stretching things out.

I would assume it to be some sort of Indigestion - I get it sometimes after a big meal and I really find it difficult to breathe also which can be fairly painful. Try to eat in small amount regularly rather than the usual 3 fairly large meals. That DefinAtely helps and also yoga
