Leaking & progesterone

I have a history of miscarriages and have been taking progesterone, I'm now weaning off it at 15 weeks.

I feel like I'm leaking all the time (have had this 4 weeks ago & everything checked out, but also precursor to prev. M/c). Terrible headaches & resurgence of m/s..

Should I panic?

Hello, I was on progesterone until 32 weeks, my consultant said it wouldn't do any harm. For your own piece of mind, why don't you ask if you can stay on it?

By now progesterone production will have switched from the luteal cyst to the placenta, which is far more reliable. That's why although it does no harm most people come off it 12-16 weeks unlike say anticoagulation drugs.

We're your losses 1st or 2nd trimester? If they were 1st try not to worry of the leaking has been checked- you do get increased mucus and sadly morning sickness strikes at any time!
If 2nd, I would contact your midwife or consultant (if you're in the UK and have had more than 3 losses you should have a consultant/team care under NICE guidelines) and ask for an appointment and scan.

Good luck. It is very nerve wracking. I cane off my meds (Clexane) at 35 weeks and was STILL worried even though rationally the baby could have been born then and would be fine albeit small. It's just so nerve wracking.

Thanks everyone! The losses were all 1st trimester. I'm still taking asprin. I have enough supply to keep on my half dose of progesterone until 18weeks so think I will do this for now. It doesn't help that I've just moved 200 miles and haven't had first appointment yet with new midwife.
