Going to EPU now, how will they check if things are ok?

Most likely a scan.

Hope you and your wee bean are Ok!

I'd assume a scan at first, assume you've had no symptoms like pain or bleeding.
They are fairly well cushioned in there, hope it goes well.

I think they'll scan you. This early in pregnancy the baby is still very protected in your pelvis so I'm sure everything will be fine.

I read an article a while ago (linked to my job, unfortunately) which said the biggest cause of foetal death in car accidents, especially low impact which I assume yours was if you've not been taken by ambulance, is the death of the mother; really high percentage. Generally, they are just too well cushioned.

Edu will scan you to check, and then advise you to take paracetamol when the whiplash kicks in.

Flowers for you and your bean, accidents are horrible even if you're not pregnant

No words of wisdom here just some Flowers hope everything checks out ok for you

Thanks everyone. After a 5 hour wait (!), I was examined and they believe there is no cause for concern - no pain, no bleeding etc so fingers crossed all is well. Only a couple of weeks to go til the first scan!
