Feet and hands swelling - can it wait a week to tell midwife?

35 weeks now and feet and hands are swelling, have noticed it for a week or so but feet quite sore today and had to take off wedding ring before it gets too tight. Wondering should I tell midwife tomorrow or wait until my appointment next Monday?

It depends really how big the swelling gets. In pregnancy my fingers and ankles swell like puddings and I had to remove rings from around 7 months - all was well, nothing to worry about, just an uncomfortable pain in the bum.
Give MW a ring to put your mind at ease - she won't mind.

You should give her a call and get your bp checked

Swelling can be a sign of pre-eclampsia so you should get your blood pressure checked asap - either by midwife or you should be able to pop into your local GP clinic and ask them to do it.

My feet and hands swelled and I had no other symptoms but did have pre-eclampsia so go to your midwife for a check (I went to GP who was pretty useless and gave me a check but failed to diagnose it) instead my MW picked it up at the 36 week check along with my wee sample.
