Panicking about twins - HCG level

Pregnant with DC 4 (my luxury extra )

Previous ectopic so today 5+5 I had a HCG test. Doc just phoned to check if I'm sure I'm only 5+5 as level came back at 48000 .

He seemed to think that was super high for my dates. I could just be super pregnant surely?!

Maybe your dates are out a little, you may of had a bleed but of been pregnant already?

I don't think that sounds too high tbh.

Don't have any advice I'm afraid! Although I have been told that HCG levels can vary massively. So yes hopefully just super strong pregnancy?!

I'm replying because I am in a very similar position... Baby number 4, ectopic in May, 5+4 and bit paranoid it might be twins! My positive showed up really strong way before the time was and I'm feeling reeeaaally sick already! Only tested on Friday so haven't been to docs or epu yet. Going tomorrow if I can although kind of want to wait until they will scan me at 6 weeks.
