wanted to ask the other members what there thoughts were on when to change from heels to flats, Im currently 19 weeks and although I dont wear heels a lot I do still like to put some on from time to time (not the 6" ones though I hasten to add!)

When you can't see them!

When your feet no longer fit in them.

If you have the slightest hint of SPD or other manifestation of excessively relaxed joints.

My feet never swelled and I can still wear heels as in get them on my feet.
As your bump expands over the 20-30 week period there will come a time when they feel bloody uncomfortable. That's when I quit! :)

I did wear low wedges to a wedding and a prom (that I chaperoned) but took flats in my bag and swapped after an hour or 2. That was about 30 weeks.

I found I still liked a shoe with structure- thin soled ballet pumps make the balls of my feet ache with the extra weight. Good trainers or loafers or sandals are my faves.

When you feel like it!I wore 4 inch heels at my friends wedding 1 day before my due date! (Though admittedly didn't keep then on all night!!)

35 weeks and wearing heels everyday to work as I always have. Stop when you feel uncomfortable

DinoSnores · 04/09/2014 23:25

I'm 36 weeks and still wearing heels to work. I find my SPD is better in small heels rather than completely flat shoes.

I wore heels to a wedding at 36 weeks. I took them off and switched to low heels (1 inch) after about 3 hours (once the photos were done). I think the main issue was actually that I don't wear heels very often so have got out of the habit. In my old job I wore heels every day and could easily make it to the end of a wedding without a shoe change!
