My 12 week scan. What does anyone think? Boy or girl?

I would say boy too.

Similar to my scan pic with DS, only basing it on that though!

I have no experience of guessing gender and I just wondered how you can tell?

I think some look at the skull shape and if they have a nub and the direction of it. But I don't actually know which is which for either gender!

Thank you. Sonographer guessed a boy from the nub during the scan but obviously it's not at all definite that early on.

Also, quite surprised that the sonographer is giving opinion on gender at dating scans, that's putting themselves wide open to a whole heap of trouble if they aren't careful!

Well we asked if she could tell and she told us about the nub theory and said she'd guess a boy but said obviously that could be completely wrong still. Hasn't done us any harm as we still don't know what the sex is still, hers was just a guess like anyone elses. And she was a lovely Sonographer :) hope to have her for the next scan too

That's fair enough if she always explains it is by no means accurate. You are reasonable and sensible but the trouble is some people aren't and will hear what they want to hear...it can be a bit of a minefield!
