Im 39+1 and been having constant period pain and lower back ache for 5 days! I've been taking paracetamol which doesn't seem to help much, I also have sharp stabbing pains right down low! I think I might have lost my mucus plug this morning...it was clear but thick and snotty looking! I'm having tightenings in my tummy which are regular but not Painful...could I be going into labour soon?Help!

I think it sounds likely. Contractions may not be painful to begin with. I'm not an expert but I'd start preparing for a hospital visit soon. Call your birthing partner and keep track of the tightenings. If they are getting stronger or closer together then I'd assume labour has started. If you go in for a check up, they can always send you home again if you're not established yet.
