Hi, me and my hubby have been ttc for 3 months now, I O'd at the weekend, (I know this as OPK was positive and had the normal egg white discharge), since then I have done a couple more OPK and they have also come up positive, including this morning (Thursday). I have seen other posts to say it is possible that I may have caught, but POAS says negative, though I know this is way to early to tell.. I have also been really tired this week and have slightly sore nipples.. Am I imagining symptons, or is it actually possible I could be...? Thanks for any help (smile)

It tales a while for the hcg to get into the urine. So maybe wait 48 hr and re try?

You mean re-try POAS? Do you think it is too early?

Absolute earliest you could really get a faint positive if you were to poas is about 10-11 days post ovulation (if you use a really sensitive 10miu test), and usually more like 14 days, so to be honest you've got at least a week of waiting yet before you will get any answers. Sorry. I hope you get the answer you want though. It's very easy to get into 'symptom spotting' when you are TTC and don't get your hopes too set on anything in case you get disappointed (not trying to be the voice of misery, just speaking from experience). Best of luck to you. xx

Yep. With this pregnancy I had a negative test, what seemed to be the start of a period then it stopped so I tried a home test again (4 days layer than the 1st) and it was a strong positive. So it can take a while for the hormones to build up.

I agree with KitKat - it's far too early.

Still a faint line this morning on the OPK, do the early PG tests work or are they just a gimmick?

It's really a bit too early, plus the first trimester drags like you wouldn't believe, finding out in a weeks time makes it one less week to wait and fret until your first scan. I'd leave it until your period is due, no matter how addictive poas seems.

I found first response tests the best, but to be honest the earliest I got a faint line was 9 dpo. It's really easy to symptom spot, I founds early pregnancy symptoms the same as my period ones. You're testing too early, but fingers crossed for you!

Thanks everyone, just need to learn to be patient! :o)
