Hi, me and my hubby have been ttc for 3 months now, I O'd at the weekend, (I know this as OPK was positive and had the normal egg white discharge), since then I have done a couple more OPK and they have also come up positive, including this morning (Thursday). I have seen other posts to say it is possible that I may have caught, but POAS says negative, though I know this is way to early to tell.. I have also been really tired this week and have slightly sore nipples.. Am I imagining symptons, or is it actually possible I could be...? Thanks for any help (smile)

It might be too early to tell from POAS - I did two negative tests in the week before my BFP!

I think you might be. One of the tell tale signs for me was sore nipples/breasts and feeling v tired.

Try another test in a few days and let us know how you get on Flowers xx

That does seem like an unusually long surge but its not impossible for you to be ovulating still. The OPK picks up the LH that surges just before you release an egg. But still, that's long time to be surging! I used to get 2 positives before ovulating.

OPKs do pick up HCG and therefore can be used to detect pregnancy, but it takes time for HCG to appear in your system, I would have thought it more likely that you would get a gap between positive OPKs than having them straight through. Your egg would need to fertilise, then implant before it creates HCG, this whole process takes 7-10 days.

Thanks, I'm hoping to be PG, but still new to this, so not sure how my body is going to react, especially after coming off the pill after 16 years! Who knows what its doing?! (smile)

Also, have a dull ache in my lower abdomen, not pain, just an ache.. Could that be to do with it? Sorry for questions, but excited and nervous at the same time!
