I'm 40+4 today. 2nd baby and the first one came at 38 weeks so this is very new to me this waiting stuff. I feel like it will never happen. I've been totally chilled the whole pregnancy but now that I'm late I feel more anxious about baby kicks etc. Anyone else in the same boat? If there were a few of us I wouldn't feel so alone in this boring and frustrating period.

Hi, I'll join you, I'm 2 days over with baby number 1. I've not been out of bed long and am sat with my feet up now! I ache too much to be walking/bouncing on the ball etc.

I'm 40+5 today, first baby so I expected to go over but it's still a pain, honestly feel like it may never happen at the min! Been for a walk this morning, planning some more walking around later, am achey tho so it's a lot of effort!

Yay! More of us:) We can whinge here together. I was on an August thread but everyone seems to have had their babies and disappeared down the rabbit hole so nobody is posting on that thread. I'm still working (from home, my bed to be exact) but it means I can ship my 19 mth old off to the childminder and it gives me some structure to the day. I think I'd be going insane on mat leave. I had 2 hrs of mildly painful but perfectly regular contractions on Sat night but then they bloody stopped! Nothing other than twinges, cramps and massive braxton hicks since. Really thought I was gone on Sat.

I'm not overdue 39+4 with 1st but 3 days of mucus plug and show (no blood) loose bowels :) only pains I'm getting happen when he's moving so def not contractions, but my uterus feels so hard 90% of time

Waiting is horrible, wish I'd not had any symptoms and can just think to max time of another 2weeks till induction but with symptoms it's constantly on my mind, any moment now and it'll properly hurt

Hi OP we were due the same date. I'm also 40 + 4 today and completely over it. I keep getting niggles and BH and it's driving me nuts as every day I'm convinced today is the day. I know the baby will come and within the next 10 days but 10 days feels like a lifetime at the moment. I've tried everything to try and get things moving but nothing seems to work...

DD was 5 days over so maybe this one will be the same and come tomorrow...

Im a bit emotional and my braxton hicks seem to be lasting 30mins at a time. Still feel like it's not gonna happen! Sigh.

Fairly sure I had a contraction abput 20 mins ago and then my waters went...either that or it was a sore braxton hicks followed by peeing myself! im a firat time mum so could be either! Fingers crossed!

I'm not overdue yet either, only 39+4, but I am so completely and utterly bored! I didn't go onto ML with DD until 39 weeks and was in labour 3 days later, this time around I stopped at 37 weeks and I'm really questioning this decision now. Every bloomin' day is the same!

Can I join in please?? 40+4 today with 1st baby and I'm mixed with my feelings of sheer boredom and being fed up of my whale like state, and the flip side of not having to be a grown up yet whilst it's still inside me lol!! Also getting a bit bored of the 'have you had it yet' texts.... as well meaning as they seem I'm pretty sure I'd remember to tell people
