Hi,

I am wanting to buy a pregnancy book that's best for a first time mum that includes week by week pregnancy, advice, tips and help after the baby is born in the first few months after the birth of our girl.

I am a very nervous mum to be due to having 2 miscarriages 1 mmc and a normal miscarriage a year later.

I am 16w 2d pregnant with a girl.

Thanks Louise.

Hi, congrats on your pregnancy.
I have a few books I've found useful -
pregnancy and childbirth by Sheila Kitzinger (I had this from a course)
What to Expect when you're Expecting
Stand & Deliver - light read & humorous
Ina May Gaskin

I would also register with a few sites for weekly updates like What to Expect & NHS - that way they send you regular emails with useful info as well as what is happening each week.

Good luck!!

I got the "day by day pregnancy book" I'm now at 20 weeks and still read a page a day. It's great. a massive hardback book with loads of info and pictures.

Hi,

Thanks for your responses.

I have just purchased the 2 books. Thanks for your advice Missus2ndwife.

I will look at the other book Roseblossom2 suggested now. It's hard not knowing everything is ok all the time!
