Will I get so big that I can't drive?

This may sound a bit silly so bear with me... but I am scared that I will get so big that I won't be able to drive my car.

I am around a size 16, I have a Mercedes A Class. Will I get so big that the steering wheel goes into my bump. If I move my seat back then my feet won't reach the pedals!

What if I can't get to work? There is a train station near us but it's not walkable and my husband works shifts so he could collect me but not drop me off.

I'm only 8 weeks so there's plenty of time to work it out but I just wondered what other people's experiences were.

Many thanks and sorry if I sound silly xx

34 wks w twins and can just about drive. Think whether it gets harder will depend on whether bump goes up or out.

Thanks all. I'm feeling much better about it all now.

I am carrying a bit more weight than I would like at the mo and I was just worried the combined mass would be too much! At least I now know that pedal extenders are an option!

catsmamma I can't believe you passed your test at 8 months! That's amazing!

PS. On the lack of interest subject - my parents have previous. My brother has two gorgeous children whom my mother has seen twice in their entire lives - and my dad is an utter cockwomble.

He was in the same room as mum when I phoned to tell her I was pregnant and didn't come to the phone, nor has be called me since. However when he wants something he stalks me. Not the best but 'we are where we are'! I don't necessarily want the attention, just an acknowledgement would be nice!

I had an enormous twin bump and I could fit behind the wheel :)

I am 37 weeks and still driving. But I asked DH to drove today because I'm feeling a lot of braxton hicks and they are very uncomfortable. It's not because of bump size. You do get to a point when doing anything is uncomfortable.
