I got an early scan at 6wk:4days and everything was fine, i thought i would have to wait until week 12 for next scan but i got informed they are giving me the scan on week 10. will i be able to see the baby as clear as you would in week 12? never herd of getting a scan so early before is all. any advice would be helpful, Thanks.

I had a scan at 9 weeks with dc 1 and could clearly see which end was the head etc

They then scanned me at 16 and 20 weeks so you may get more than the standard two scans

If you have the nuchal screening your scan needs to be between 11 and 14 weeks I think x

so do you think i will get a scan for my 10th week and then another betweens 11-14? should i ask the midwife about this when i go for my scan or can they give me that information?

If they can't get the info they need to assess the baby's health from the scan because it is too early they'll book you in for another one. Mine was booked for 11 weeks but on the actual scan they moved me forward to 12 weeks, so it might be bigger than you think.

I had the same - Mine was booked in for 12 weeks exactly, after my reassurance scan at 8 weeks and the date was moved forward to 13weeks +6 days! You could see the heartbeat and baby at 8 weeks so 10 weeks will be clearer! Good luck! xx
