Pregnancy after loop diathermy

Hi,

I was sent for a colposcopy after three smears that weren't normal ( first was borderline, 2nd was mild changes and 3rd was just more than mild changes) doctor advised these cells should be removed using loop diathermy. I was just wondering if anyone has conceived after having this treatment and if so how long did you wait? My partner and I were hoping to be trying to have a baby but have put it off due to these results x

I have one done about two years ago and was assured at the time that it would have no impact on future conception or pregnancy. We were not trying at the time, started in May this year and we were pregnant after 3 cycles and almost 12 weeks. So I'm guessing it had no impact for me.

I had loop diathermy 3 years ago due to severe cell changes detected on my first ever smear at 25. We waited until first follow up smear at 6 months was clear before ttc. Although this was choice not due to guidance ( don't recall being told to leave it a particular length of time) I was pregnant within 2 weeks ! Dd fast asleep in bed at min. I'm also currently brewing number 2 (due jan) also conceived within a month of trying so try not to worry to much (also all subsequent smears have been clear )
