I'm 29 weeks today and took a trip to the doctors this morning after sudden migraines and nausea ( never had either ever before) came on a few days ago. Urine test showed I've got a pretty nasty urine infection/borderline kidney infection with traces of blood in my urine and leukocytes off the colour chart. BP was raised compared to the last few times but no traces of protein. Antibiotics given and told paracetamol should take the pain away but to ring hospital to let them know - they said they'd ring me back ASAP to get me to go in.
That was at 8.30 this morning and I've not had any call but I'm more concerned that the paracetamol has made no difference whatsoever, and that I've spent the last 3 hours in bed because my eyes hurt as a result of the light. I know there was no protein but all I have rushing round my head is the thought of preeclampsia. Should I ring them again or wait a day to see if the antibiotics help?

Did they say light sensitivity is a side effect of your infection? Honestly, I would ring them before they go off for the day, put your mind at rest.
