Scan next week no confirmation letter!

Having my dating scan next week I was booked in for this at my booking in appointment 3 weeks ago by the midwife but iv had no letter to confirm the appointment!
With my first DD I think I remember getting a letter saying u need a full bladder and were to go in the hospital etc but iv heard nothing this time around!
Is it because its my second or do u think they've forgotten to post it
is it worth giving the hospital/midwife a ring?!

If you have an appointment already (i.e. date and time and location) then just go. The letter may have been lost in the post. If you're not sure, then no harm done in giving them a ring.

dont really have much faith in nhs so think I'll ring just to be sure, been looking forward to it for ages seems like the day will never come!

I didn't get a letter for my 12 week scan. MW booked it in at the booking appointment and wrote it on the front of my notes. Work accepted this as the appointment card.

I did drink lots of water beforehand. I think it's generally recommended for the dating scan so the full bladder pushes the womb upwards.

Iv never had any letters for my scans, the midwife just books them and then let's me no when they are, I think this varies depending on were you are tho so I'd phone and check if your not sure

Just give them a call to confirm. I hadn't received any notification of my booking in or scan appointments by 11 weeks. It turned out that someone had input the wrong house number from my self referral form. Good job I rang really!
