Maternity leggings

Hello,

Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for maternity leggings? Preferably over the bump ones..that aren't / don't go see through! I got some from new look but they seemed pretty thin and not the best of quality. I want to wear them for yoga so would like them not to be see through.

Thanks!

Mamas and papas were the best for me - they are thick material - over bump, and no annoying waste band - they have a separate panel for the bump in double fabric (of that makes any sense). They are more expensive that lots of brands, but they have frequent sales, so you could hold out for discount. I think you'd still see your knicker line faintly if you bent over mind you :) But nothing like the thinness of non preggo primani leggings.

Oh and they come up large too www.mamasandpapas.com/product-leggings-black/s0007294/type-s/

I found normal leggings were fine as they were so stretchy. I think I just bought a bigger size.

Thanks. Have got a £10 off voucher for m&p so will buy a pair. Thanks for tip re sizing. I am 14/16 and was going to get 16/18 but might go for 12/14 instead.

I'm living in H&M maternity leggings, they come right up to my boobs. Grin

chloe0408 · 28/08/2014 22:30

H&M for sure :-)

lemonfolly · 28/08/2014 22:31

No definitely get the 12/14 from M&P! They used to be quite a firm fabric, and they changed the fabric early last year - more stretchy. I last bought a pair about 5 months ago, so I'm sure they'll be the same :) If not sorry!

BikeRunSki · 28/08/2014 22:32

H&m absolutely

lemonfolly · 28/08/2014 22:33

I have H&M ones too - they are a tight fit, but the fabric was quite thick. I have several pairs and the thighs always split... maybe too fat! haha :)

Gap ones are great -nice and thick and soft and have lasted me two pregnancies.

sophie150 · 29/08/2014 07:21

I hated the h and m ones - I'm 5ft 3 and there was way too much material and they were so thick! I have a couple of pairs from asda which fit far better although if you were going to wear them on their own without a bum covering top they might be a bit thin!

moggle · 29/08/2014 08:29

I bought a pair from boden and they are awesome. A wide stretchy bump panel and no piece of elastic to dig in. Nice and thick. Sizing is ridiculous though, I'm a 10-12 and ordered a 6 and an 8 and kept the 6!! So recommend finding a code for free returns!
I kept wearing my normal leggings until about 20 weeks (DC1) but after that the waistband dug in too much.

RebeccaCloud9 · 29/08/2014 09:29

Boden ones are amazing!

cheshirem2b · 29/08/2014 13:20

I got mine from ASOS maternity online and they seem fine. A bit on the large size so size down but good quality and slightly longer as well which is great if you are tall?

Eminybob · 29/08/2014 13:23

I came on to say h&m too. They are fab, saw me all the way through to the (v large) end. And they spring back, so I'm still wearing them 6 weeks post natal.

AbbieHoffmansAfro · 29/08/2014 13:27

Isabella Oliver. Simply fantastic. I still wear them now on cold winter nights, pulled right up to my armpits...

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 29/08/2014 13:29

I have Boden ones after recommendations on here - size down though. Also I like the Seraphine ones, I bought them at John Lewis - bit more like thick tights but seem to be lasting well.

Mumtobeyorkshire · 29/08/2014 13:32

I bought New Look ones (not bad but don't keep their shape), Primark ones (terrible sizing and fit) and H&M ones which are by FAR the best. Comfy, well fitted, wash really well and don't lose their shape :)

MrsGiraffe12 · 29/08/2014 14:03

My ones from peacocks have been fab, come up to my boobs haha x

LulusMiniEgg · 29/08/2014 14:09

I love my asos maternity ones - so comfy. Don't buy topshop ones they come up mid bump which is really annoying as they dig into your tummy creating an attractive double bump effect!

NovemberRainbow · 29/08/2014 14:12

Another vote for Boden, amazing quality.

squizita · 29/08/2014 14:26

Purpless: they're an online store. Pretty good value and good fabric.

Noodledoodledoo · 29/08/2014 14:43

George at Asda - £8, really comfy, wash well, really thick and reach my boobs!!

RetroHippy · 29/08/2014 17:12

Sat in my H & M leggings now. As a pp said, I'm 5'4" and they are a little long in the leg (Nora Batty knees) but they do seem thick enough not to see your giant preggy pants. And the over bump bit is dead comfy.

juneavrile · 29/08/2014 17:33

George at Asda are good quality for £8 but needed at least one size down
