2 C Sections in less than 2 years

Ok so might sound like a daft question but having a planned c section in early February 2015, just over 20 months after my last section. Compared to the birth of my first ds (badly teared) the section was a breeze and I healed quickly with no problems. Just wondering if the healing process and after pains are any worse if you've already had a section.

Can't answer your question I'm afraid but I'll be following with interest as I have exactly the same - early feb c-section no 2 with my DS being just 16 months. C section was a breeze for me too after the healing process of a horrendous tear that was misdiagnosed with DS1. Good luck to you, hope your pregnancy is going well x

I've had 3 ELCS 20 months apart each time and it's been fine afterwards. All I would say is that you will feel the desire to be up and about much earlier and there is a risk of overdoing it. After my second I felt so fine that on day 3 I was mopping the floor when the midwife arrived and I got a telling off. I also got myself an infection... After my third I made myself take it far easier.

I had my sections 18 months apart. The healing process was about the same both times, although I did have a small haematoma second time, which caused a little bit of the wound re-open. That happened around a week post-surgery. I was still healed up and managing both kids myself (more or less) six weeks post surgery.

5 sections in 7 years here. They get easier to recover from as both you and your body know what to expect and what is likely to happen in your recovery.

2 in 21 months here. Recovery would have been same I believe save that I had some minor complications due to underlying medical issues.

Thanks for all your comments ladies, reassuring to know things went ok for you and I shouldn't expect anything totally horrific (hopefully!!!). I think my biggest problem will be the trying to 'take it easy' part......... I too got a telling off last time, hoovering 3 days after!!! Hope your pregnancy going well too mimsylou, such similarities with our stories. We had some chromosome testing at 10 weeks and know we're expecting ds3 which we're thrilled about. Definitely our last one though Wink Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy
