Usually, I can pack away 2 bars of chocolate a day. Happily. But now the mere thought of chocolate makes me feel completely sick.

And orange squash too. Love the stuff when I'm not pregnant. Can't bring myself to look at it now.

What things have others taken against?

I drink lots of tea but sadly during pregnancy (this one and my last one) it tastes metallic and horrible and I can't touch it. When DS was born, I was back on the tea when he was about 4 days old.

blankfornames · 26/08/2014 08:03

I'm completely turned of tea, coffee (of which I'd usually drink loads!) and chicken!

I'm now 15wks and until 2 weeks ago, couldn't be near milk. The smell was terrible! Now thankfully I can have my cereal again in the morning!

No wierd cravings though!

A lot of tea and coffee drinkers I know have gone off them during pregnancy. SO glad I have never liked them anyway.

blank the only thing I am craving is salt. On roast potatoes preferably but chips, mash, new potatoes covered in butter will also do. Crisps not so much though.

I went off tea and coffee for a while, could only face milky tea in the mornin, the thought of it after that made me sick. And I love tea Hmm only started being able to drink it in the afternoon again at about 20 weeks.

Gone right off peanut butter, I used to take a teaspoon to the jar but now I can just about bare to smell it when DD asks for it on toast.

Not much else I've gone off, I wish there was more, might still fit in my jeans Grin

I think just about everything in the first 16 weeks, I'm 32 weeks now and still have to really fancy what I have. Food shopping is a nightmare x

Clairejessicamiller · 26/08/2014 08:31

Carrots! I used to eat them ever day for lunch but can't stand them now!!

Nomorethongs · 26/08/2014 08:33

Same with sweet stuff! I have a mouthful of sweet teeth but not interested now. On a beige diet, white toast, chips, cheese, crisps, basically savoury and bland for me!

PamBagnallsGotACollage · 26/08/2014 08:48

lbnm19, yes! Food shopping is a nightmare. How the hell am I supposed to know what I'll fancy for tea in 4 days time?! Might just stick up on potatoes and live on them for the foreseeable.

Pam didn't realise until you said it but salt is my new love. I even bought rock salt the other week & am eating it in everything..even a boiled egg!!
My gut is that it's a boy..does salt mean anything?!

PamBagnallsGotACollage · 26/08/2014 08:54

I don't know if it means anything but it tastes bloody good!

Chicken was mine. I gagged eating a chicken wing when I was 7 weeks and I've been struggling to eat it since. I can eat it as long as its white meat only, with no blemishes, which is weird because I've always been a dark meat girl!

I struggle with sweet stuff too, makes me feel a bit jittery!

Pointlessfan · 26/08/2014 09:10

I went off cheese which I normally love. I found I could eat most things so long as I didn't cook them, also weird as I love cooking.

RebeccaCloud9 · 26/08/2014 10:07

Chocolate for me too - at around 6 weeks it suddenly seemed disgusting! Now it's more that I just don't fancy it. Also, I love a cup of tea first thing but just don't fancy hot milky drinks after that (I can happily drink black tea still).

Worksallhours · 26/08/2014 15:32

Meat. I just can't face it.

I made a roast chicken dinner at the weekend because I was getting worried that my nutrition had become so poor -- but I just stared at the broccoli and chicken on my plate. In the end, my DH ate it the next day.

God knows what I am going to do if this carries on. All I can cope with seems to be bread, potatoes and rice. Normally, I am a hardcore carnivore, and haven't eaten bread for about five years.

mrshjb · 26/08/2014 16:12

Fish! Can't bear the thought of it at all!

twiglet2 · 26/08/2014 16:22

Broccoli. I used to love the stuff, but went off it pretty early on, and still can't eat it now coming up to 28 weeks. Have been trying to eat fish, but I'm not keen on that either at the moment.

NinjaPanda34 · 26/08/2014 18:59

I've gone off cold meat, ham etc and chicken. And spring onions weirdly.
Craving salt 'n' vinegar crisps dipped in philly. Are we allowed philly?

PamBagnallsGotACollage · 26/08/2014 19:01

I think Philly is fine.

It's amazing how many different things people have gone off. Although not really I suppose as we're all different!
