I'm 10 weeks pregnant and was wondering if there was a men's forum or books that hubby could perhaps relate to rather than just reading my books and hearing about all the women's stuff maybe just facts and man chat??

Hi, just marking my place really. I'm finding that my dh isn't really interested in anything I'm reading but then complains about being left out and doesn't like the sound of anything specifically aimed at dads and won't read books!

Some of his friends have very negative approaches to parenthood but he does have one friend locally who is the kind of dad I'd like my dh to be so I'm just encouraging him to spend as much time with him as possible and ask him anything he wants to know would that work for you?

I gave my dh 'pregnancy for men' after seeig it recommended here - it's dry, and a wee but funny. I liked it more than he does but at least he's reading it and taking it onboard. It counts down in months so he only reads one month ahead and feels like he's done his bit (he randomly quotes bits at me which make me :)

My DH has been reading The Expectant Dad's Handbook. It's by and for blokes and some of the advice is so practical I'm going to give it a read too!

I bought DH the Expectant Dads handbook and it was a hod send. He even referenced it whilst I was in labour and had emcs.

It is realistic and supportive. Can't recommend it enough.

Pregnancy for dummies is a good book to share.

I follow Dad Info on FB and Twitter and find their content pretty interesting. Don't know about their online forum though, but it is worth a look.
