I was just wondering if any of you knew much about the mucus plug?
I went into the hospital today with painful Braxton hicks and pressure low in my pelvis (I'm 35 weeks). I got checked and the head was engaged (3/5) and then it wasn't so I'm aware it keeps moving out (it goes low when I feel the pain) and the senior midwife said I have lost my mucus plug when she and the doctor checked me internally but I was just wondering if they would be able to tell the difference between that and semen (sorry TMI) as me and my bf had sex last night. surely they would be able to tell the difference especially if they checked?
