I'm expecting my first dc in November. I've been googling what to expect directly after the birth with regards to my body and found this website which I've linked. Personally I'm finding it really useful and thought others might appreciate it.

Good link although I hope it doesn't make anyone feel overwhelmed - it does happen as it says but doesn't feel so bad at the time iyswim. Mainly because you are distracted by the very important and tiny person who's just come into your life!
The one thing I really wish I'd known about was the sweating. Ye gods it was horrific!
Also I didn't know my milk might not come in of for a few days so wish I'd known not to stress.
It was around the six month mark that my fanjo felt completely 'normal' but I don't think that's true for everyone - I had a lot of stitches.
A couple of things I'd question: my periods did not come back till 14 months which my gp did not feel was unusual given that I was still breastfeeding.
And my hair was NOT pre-pregnancy condition at 1year! It was just starting to grow back and I had weird tufts around my hairline. Apart from that I felt good though. (Again this could be breastfeeding related.)

FTP here but... all the books and leaflets (from healthcare professionals) I have had seem to vary a lot more than this e.g. "1 week to 2 months" rather than week-by-week kind of thing. Especially about tears and episiotomy healing and bleeding. This worried me a bit tbh as it seems to have 'tighter' deadlines for a lot of the health stuff than I was led to believe.
