Why???

I don't think it's baby/uterus pain because it feels more like muscle pain. Kind of on the skin or just under the skin.

Ds3 is 3 very soon but is still teeny, theres no way I could get him to walk everywhere. He does walk quite abit but as soon as he;s back in the buggy it starts hurting again....what could it be??

could it be something to do with centre of gravity changing hence you're using slightly different muscles in the pushing movement

are you conscious of your posture as you push?

and may I just say

Miaou · 20/09/2006 07:33

lth, I used to get this when pg with dd2 and pushing dd1 in her buggy (was only just walking when dd2 was born!). All your muscles are stretching and moving, and your ligaments are softening, which will probably make it quite uncomfortable. I noticed when pg with ds (no. 3) that the effect was more pronounced than the previous times.

And yes - 24 weeks??? Why is it everyone elses pregnancies seem to go so fast and your own always seem to take forever??

Thatsa good point actually twig, I suppose I do have to strain/work harder when he's in the buggy. The pain seems to be always on theright hand side, kind of like a cresent shape around my belly button IYSWIM

Bloody car is in for MOT today so I've walked miles, got a few funny looks because I had to keep stopping and rubbing the pain away.

Might try putting him in his little bike fo rme to push instead. Only one handle on that so I'll be using different muscles again.

As for being 24 weeks....Pah!! it's not going fast enough!!

agree its the force of having to push with a 3yr old in..am soo glad ds has decided he will walk everywhere so only have to contend with DD instead of a double.

I'm amazed how quickly that has gone LTH.

I had a very similar pain up until about 2 weeks ago (am 31 weeks now). i couldn't describe what it felt like but sounds pretty similar to what you described. No idea what it was though but was in the exact same spot every time (and only quite a small spot mind)

LadyTophamHatt · 20/09/2006 13:41

it goes pretty much as soon as I relax/sit down/stop whatever so I'm certain it's nothing bad.
I can't feel at now at all but an hour ago when walking home it was really painful....

It's just bloody annoying.

could it be like a braxton hicks due to the pushing??
