Anyone else got a belly piercing?

I'm 30 weeks and my piercing is starting tolook really sore :( I had it done about 16 years ago and feel naked without it but it's looking pretty red. MW noticed at last appt & suggested I put some Dettol on it so I've been putting some antiseptic liquid on it (Boots own - much cheaper!) but it's not really getting any better. It's a plastic pregnancy bar that I swapped out for my metal one quite a few weeks ago but I'm considering just giving up and taking it out. Anyone else had similar experiences?

I cleaned mind everyday with salt water and it still didn't do the trick :(. As days went on it got more and more tender and uglier and uglier haha. I did however carry on cleaning with salt water when I took it out just incase. It does sound very similar to what I experienced which wasn't an infection BUT if it is an infection the the worst possible thin. To do is to remove the jewellery and have it close up whilst still infected :)... I made sure this wasn't the case for me by seeing my local piercer and then clarifying with the doctor

Oh it should be absolutely fine, I leave mine out and it goes straight back in
