Pain at night at 28+ weeks - IBS??

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this...for the last two nights, I've woken up with deep, bruise-like pain in the centre of my abdomen. My back hurts, and I feel as though my baby has squashed something sore in there....to the extent that I can't lie down again, am ok standing up, but have had two very bad nights of pacing up and down when I should have been asleep!
I've had IBS before (just spasm, pain and bloated feelings) and it makes sense that I might have it now (dd started nursery, family stress, pregnancy constipation, current attack of piles, etc) but at 3am it all feels a bit scary.

Forgot to say - saw OB today, who agrees its probably IBS, but also wants me to have a scan. She thinks theres some excess fluid around the baby now (same with dd, who was fine, but it was much later on) and that combined with the pain needs checking out.

Not really too sure why I'm posting except that I've come away feeling sort of worried/down...posting on MN usually helps
