...literally! I'm 34+3 weeks pregnant and getting really achy buttocks in the night. They only ache when I'm in bed and they wake me up they're so uncomfortable! I sleep on my side which is how I've always slept even when not pregnant, and no fortress of pillows seems to make a difference Sad Has anyone experienced this and if so, any tips for easing it? I'd love to be able my last few weeks of sleep before I have a newborn to keep me up!

Does it feel like cramp? I've been getting it in my calves at night, I've read that bananas can help (if only they weren't the grossest food in the world) and tonic water for the quinine... Possibly all old wives tales though! Hope the pain lifts for you soon :)

I get this it goes down my thighs too, the midwife said it was the baby lying on nerves. The only thing that works for me is to get up & walk around for a short time then get back in bed in a different position. Or get on all 4's for a short time, I assume it just budges the baby a little bit.

I've got buttock pain a lot of the time. Whined to my Physio about it yesterday he said "blah blah blah, sciatic nerve, better when baby comes".

Thanks ladies Smile I don't think it's cramp so I guess it must be nerve pain - rubbish!
